5) FROM WHAT A MAN WAS MADE. ISLAMIC VERSION.

A fifth criticism of the Qur'an involves verses 5-7 of surah 86. They claim: Now let man but think from what he is created! He is created from a drop emitted - proceeding between the backbone and the ribs. (86:5-7)
This contradicts the scientific fact that semen is produced by the testicles, prostate gland, and seminal vesicles, none of which are between the backbone and the ribs. Critics note [20] that Hippocrates, whose writings were widely available in the pre-Islamic Middle East, [21] had taught that semen passes from the kidneys via the testicles into the penis, and that this is a plausible source for the idea in this verse. Muslim apologist Maurice Bucaille states that these verses are "hardly comprehensible" [22] and finds his own translations of them using meanings not found in dictionaries.[23]

to say backbone would be like saying "we eat through an orifice" -- too general; not enough specifics.

First, semen is not produced in the organs stated by the writer. Only spermatozoa are. And they constitute less than 5% of the total contents of the semen, which is rich in protein and fructose and hormones -- which are produced by the endocrine system.

Although there are seven glands in the human body that form this system, the thymus and adrenal glands and the pancreas are located -- between the backbone and the ribcage.

The components and contributions of semen are as follows:

2-5% - spermatozoa, produced in the testes.

65-75% - acids and other such things giving energy to the sperm cells and also suppressing an immune response by the female against the foreign semen. Produced in the Seminal Vesicle.

25-30% - Chemicals to help stabilize the DNA-containing chromatin in the sperm cells. Produced in the Prostate.

< 1% - Chemicals to increase mobility of sperm cells in the vagina. Produced in the Bulbourethral glands.

The blogger said: "testicles, prostate gland, and seminal vesicles."

This is EXACTLY how it is, ignoring the <1% from the bulbourethral glands. He listed from least to greatest percentage.

I have no idea where you got Thymus and Adrenal glands and the pancreas. Would help if you gave more information so others can double check what you say rather than having to take your word for it.

what's wrong in this verse i do not see anything wrong with it...not because the science has proven it yet means its wrong..there are so many in the quran that was not proven back then now it is proven...such as the birth of a human being in his mother's womb...its correctly stated step by step lots of doctors who saw that and read it..they said it is impossible for an illitrate man (who cannot read nor write) knew about this it must be from God the Creator of all things

Dead body of FIRON - Sign of Allah

Sperm cells ar produced in the testicle. However during fetal development, the testicles descend from around the level of L1 vertebra, which would be called in lamen's term ''between the backbone and ribs'', to the scrotum. This is indeed a very accurate statement since all spermatozoa produced during the adult life comes from a fixed number of Germ cells that were produced during fetal development. other organs come into play merely to facilitate the transportation of the sperm.

Now, i will refer to this verse from the quran: "Now let man but think from what he is created! He is created from a drop emitted - proceeding between the backbone and the ribs. (86:5-7)"

In the website, it says that semen is produced by the testicles. Now let me prove to you with some scientific evidence, that has recently been discovered, mind you, and was written in the quran 1400 years ago (cannot be manmade).

This refers to EMBRYOLOGICAL development of testes inside mothers womb:-

A structure called "Intermediate mesoderm" is formed on each sides of vertebral column(spine).
Then it differentiates into 3 parts:-

1>"Pronephros" on each side of spine of neck (neck region) of developing baby(embryo). It dissolves off & does NOT make any important structure in fully developed human baby.

2>"Mesonephros" is part of "intermediate mesoderm" between spine & ribs (thoracic region)on each side. It develop lots of tubules which later form testes. & sperms are formed in these tubules. Then testes migrates (proceeds) downwards from here to its final place, scrotum. In some premature babies testes are un-descended completely & are found in abdomen & have to be surgically corrected.

3>"Metanephros" is part of "intermediate mesoderm" on each side of abdominal spine of developing baby. It also form tubulus & develop into kidneys. Kidneys are in pelvis of developing baby. Then they ASCEND to reach final position in upper abdomen.

It's nearly impossible to find well-informed people in this particular topic, however, you seem like you know what you're talking about!

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation
but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would
never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!
